fool
i spent the last 50 hours of my life unhappy.miserable.and irritable.
becos of small incidents, i didnt enjoy breakfast with the family, i forgo my sunday lunch w the family. and wasted the last 50 hours tt i'm never ever gonna get back.at the end of this, i didnt get any satisfaction out of it. just very tired eyes and very sick of the same issues. so i say, if after 50 hours of continuous trying it doesnt go away, it's time to let it deal with itself. and let it be. and go spend the rest of my hours more productively.
this is the art of positive thinking you say?
no, just regrets about wasted time.
self-inflicted i say.
and may i add that its enough already!
go away bad thoughts. go away.

thank you wally.
you're no more a baby puppy! big boy already! wally's one! :)
thank You for you.
- for always making me smile, no matter when or where or what.
- for always rushing to me whenever you see me, as if i'm the world's most impt person.
- for loving everyone in the family (but me most).
- for being that sensitive soul, who understands my moods best.
- for just being there when i need you.
- for not peeing in my room even tho its really cold and you cant get out cos the door's closed.
- and finally, for licking away my tears tonight and that look in your eyes.
WWIDWY
what will i do without you.
-
someday. somewhere.
i hardly know how to begin.
someday, these mass of feelings will all go away.
and i'll find somewhere to bask in the sunshine again.a world where there's no more waiting.
a world where i'm finally at peace but more alive than ever.
让你 能多看我一眼help me find that place.

out of leg
people always use the phrase "out of hand", supposedly meaning things move out of their hands and they have semingly no control over them. well, i've been going so many places for work and learning that i think out of leg's more suitable. especially since the legs operate the wheels more than the hands. ha.
i'm blabbering.
really tired (as usual). i think i need to have a rest day soon. my sleep's getting interrupted, though i am in deep sleep, i can still feel my brain restless and irritated. and my mood. urgh. frustrated quite easily. just need a day to slack and not do anything. not worry about anything.
and when i finally get that, i'll worry about being lonely.
bleh. the contradicts in me.
i'm thinking of moving my blog soon. min highly recommends wordpress. any other recommendations? i really hate the photoupload thing here ughs.

the feminist
there are days when i'm more feminist than normal, and today is one of them.
every time i attend an industry event, i have 2 reactions:1. if the company's leaders are mostly male, i wonder where are the females.
2. if there are some (always few) female leaders, i wonder if they're really zai, or did they just meet the right people.ok. it's bad to stereotype. and i'm sure ppl stereotype me too.
but i want to succeed!
so anyway, the off-day was hectic! garden festival was fabulous tho! i had a nice surprise and thoroughly enjoyed it with my mom. took gazillion pictures too. hahaha.
and the dinner function was nice. been long since i went for one.
and the feminist is now hooked on heroes. very delayed i know. but wow! who knows where i can get the series?

wacky wednesday
today was wacky cos my schedule was crazy. but it was wacky in a fun way!
the first part wasn't so much fun, a lot of admin stuff to cover. and then i had meetings for next mth's roadshow! which was fun FUN FUN! i mean, we had wild ideas..i hope it works out. cos this time, we're targetting the ladies! heh. think: mani and pedi.
and we're renting a kiosk outside my outlet too. so hope that works too.
then i had jap class! yay. haven't had a lesson in a long long time. was kinda boring when it came to the hiragana part tho. but i must say i'm impressed with the class structure, and the course materials. even tho its easy for me, i learnt stuff i never learnt the last time. and there was def a lot more time for conversation and practice. so yup! im glad i'm doing that. daddy asked me just now why i was so into japanese. haha. i have no idea either.
i just hope to be able to get some scholarship to japan to do my masters. after coming back from US, i've had those bouts of missing school. bleh.
well, its my off-day tmr! and its already half packed. going to see the garden festival with my mommy tmr morning at suntec. heh. it is super my mom's thing. she's the one with the green fingers and is crazy about flowers. i heard you can buy flowers there. jialat. i shd steal her purse. yea, and we were just talking abt it this morning. then in the afternoon, we got free tix from sony.
and then im meeting bestie for tea. and i do want to get my pedi done. i highly recommend nails @ lacquer room. that's vivocity. they are really good. my pedis always look fabulous and last up to a month or more. plus, for a little bit more, u get to slouch in the massage chair, soak ur feet in the jacuzzi thingy and enjoy a foot scrub. which smells fruity by the way.
night, was supposed to have dance.but turns out dad and mum were going for an event (in which i think my mom is getting a prize for her showcase display) at one of the country clubs. and my dad was so nice, he asked if i wanted to go. and tho they only invited 2, he just told them i would be joining. eck. somehow im always the uninvited guest from time to time.
it'll be fun i'm sure!
okies.. gonna hit the sack soon.

she's tired!
“ The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one."
tired. tired. tired.
but im gonna listen to mark twain. :)my dad is back frm turkey! phew, he was in istanbul when the bombings happened. but not in the same place. thank God.
its strange, every time my dad goes oversea, there always seem to be a lacklustre feel at work. but once he's back, everyone's on their toes again. and ppl are genuinely happy to see their boss. my dad is so zai huh. when will i ever garner that kinda response with my staff?
i hope it doesnt take another 20 odd years.
so yea, i've been busy adapting back to life. am proud to say im no longer jet-lagged! whoopdeedoo!
jap classes officially start again tmr. yay!

weekend whizzes!
the weekend fizzled by in whizzes. and the whizzes come bite-sized!
went off from work early on saturday to the night festival at the national musuem. woohoo. caught the 1971 adaptation of charlie and the chocolate factory.tho i never watched the one starring johnny depp, the older movie gave me the creeps from time to time too. esp the oompa-loompas and their strange song. eeek. for a girl for hates clowns, it wasnt too great watching short men in thick, bad make-up prancing around chanting "oompa loompa..." wonka was good, better than johnny depp i would think.. :) but also a little freaky. disturbing!
as a child, i loved roald dahl and his works. i still love it. but never have i ever EVER portrayed mr.wonka as freaky. why do they seem to see him as a dark character? perhaps its because he's lonely? hmm. well, i didn't get any nightmares thankfully. (go read the roald dahl books darling!)
the light-up at the musuem was fabulous tho! i have yet to upload my pictures, but when i do, i'll post! drats, i should have brought the DSLR! but i took pics with the lomo and the 860, cant wait to see the printouts for lomo. haha. i am reverting back to film photography. eeps.
sunday! grandma day! :) was spent watching tang xin feng bao with mom in the morning. followed with a short chat with the bf online. had lunch with grandma too.
laters, brought wally for his grooming session. he must have suffered there, for he came home all jittery. thinking that we'd abandoned him or something. i swear he has that look of neglect in his eyes. so i decided to give him a treat and switched on the aircon. :)
and after the serangoon garden episode w wally, brought ben to macs and chomped on some stuff. haha. im watching my weight! lost 4kg after the trip, and i attribute that to the weather. much too hot! sweating helps, now we know! but i like myself 4kg thinner. hahaha.
and evening, headed for ballet under the stars at fort canning park! ive been wanting to catch this since 2000. tt doesnt sound so long ago does it? but that's freaking 8 years ago! so i told myself by hook or by crook i must go! even if alone! was blessed enough to find ticket from someone who couldnt make it.. got discount some more. haha. and the performance was really worth my money. happy. ambience was great too.
imagine: 4 little girls on my left. 1 lonely dancer-like man (or maybe wannabe like me again) on my right. and a lesbian (old) couple in front of me frolicking and being all touchy. what's there not to love for an evening under the stars? all that lacks is a boyfriend who happens to be still asleep in philadelphia! i am inspired to take up dance again. yup! i miss the plies and the allegros. and so impulsively i emailed a ballet instructor. haha. but im also considering other genres. belly dance? chinese dance? back to basics eh. haha.
just want to keep fit la! and have some fun while working and making the buck! :) oh yea. im no longer teaching tuition too. :( will miss the little ones especially.

im back! a quick summary of my trip with the boyfriend. :)
yes, we're back together!

we visited NYC first.
then went back to philadelphia.
independence day was spent at philly outlets, followed by a loooong drive to..
NIAGARA falls.
and then back to philly.
3 days later we landed in Orlando..
drove down to miami.
saw the keys and the everglades
spent days at universal studios and disneyworld!
and it was back to philly.
which was the last leg of our trip..
i went to atlantic city.
and we spent our last day together in new jersey before the airport.
the last few days were pretty teary. but im glad things worked out great. :)
watched phantom of the opera and les miserables. :)

Shopping count is scary. Let's just revert to outlets count: Philly, Waterloo, Orlando, AC.
Relationship status: attached (some say engaged, we're keeping that secret)
Financial status: Bad.

ta-da!
a new change of colour scheme!
heh. i've been getting comments that my old black background was too down-ish. and the words too small, so i hope this helps in some ways! i'm really no genius at doing websites.. :) but i like the pastels at the side.. so pretty!
almost a month since i came over to the US of A. having a whale of a time (as what my students would reiterate)! i have so many pictures i simply don't know where and how to upload them. i'll figure something out. meanwhile, let me know if you know of a website that's good for uploading.. :) i dun think i want to put everything on fb. such a hassle!
anyways, i'll be home on monday night! :( boo. and i don't want to go home!
but i miss home and all that is good at home. like family. wally. friends. and amazingly, food. hahaha.
well, see ya all soon. everything's going amazingly well. thank God.
